Course Introduction

This one-off evening class will aim to build familiarity with the CEM format assessment used by St. Paul’s Girls’ and City of London School for Girls’ as a pretest before second stage assessment.

Course Schedule

The group will review specific CEM format questions which will appear on the exam, such as CEM VR shuffled sentences, cloze questions and cloze comprehension, CEM NVR cub nets, rotation and reflection questions, and CEM long maths, data and mental arithmetic.

Laurie Coldwell

The class will be led by Laurie Coldwell, our most experienced entrance exam tutor, with fifteen years’ CEM experience. The class will end with a short CEM format assessment and full feedback, marking and recommendations will be provided within 48 hours.

Our Cancellation Policy

If you cancel less than two weeks ahead of the start date of the course, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or another student.

If you cancel outside of the two week course date, we will happily credit your account to attend a future course.

If you do not show up for a course, you are not eligible for a credit or refund.

Why we charge a cancellation fee

This is to cover the tutors’ reserved time to run a group course, to pay for their time spent pre-planning the class and relevant material, printing fees incurred and the loss of revenue to Winterwood as it is often too late to fill a cancelled space. More importantly, other students miss out on attending a group.
