Course Introduction

Students who start Year 6 from September 2026 will be sitting entrance exams from the autumn onwards.  If your child has begun preparation for their entrance exam then this is an invaluable opportunity to assess their progress thus far in an exam setting.  If they have yet to begin preparation this is also an effective assessment of their current level.

Course Schedule

These mock papers are created in-house and they test English comprehension, SPaG, maths and both verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

You will receive a detailed, personalised feedback report following the exam, written by our in-house education consultant Jacob Shephard.  The report is shared with all Winterwood tutors working with your child and it will be used to guide their preparation going forward.

“Thank you, for setting us up to get very helpful boosts at the right times this past term.  You and the team around you made it easy to organise at our end, and simple–and that I’m sure reduces parental stress at the right moment!”

Our Cancellation Policy

If you cancel less than one week ahead of the exam, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or another student.

If you cancel outside of the one week exam date, we will happily credit your account to attend a future mock.

If you do not show up for a mock, you are not eligible for a credit or refund.

Why we charge a cancellation fee

This is to cover the tutors’ reserved time to run a mock exam, to pay for their time spent pre-planning the exam and relevant material, printing fees incurred and the loss of revenue to Winterwood as it is often too late to fill a cancelled space.  More importantly, other students miss out on attending an exam.
