Course Introduction

This focus group is designed to specifically prepare students for the Latymer Prep 7+ Exam.

Course Schedule

The group will teach students how to prepare for both the English and maths paper.

Students will be taught comprehension, inference and creative writing. They will work on arithmetic, problem solving, geometry and word problems in maths.

The course will conclude with a Latymer Prep format assessment, for which full feedback will be provided.

Group Leads

Dr Tom Parkinson

The group will be led by Winterwood’s co-founder, Dr Tom Parkinson. Tom oversees the entrance exam cohort at Winterwood, and has fifteen years’ experience of the entrance exam system. Tom will provide detailed advice, guidance and focus topics following the course, and will also be on hand to discuss any aspect of the process, or school admissions, with parents.

Oliver Ford

Oliver has helped students gain places at schools such as Westminster, St. Paul’s, Highgate, UCS and City of London School Boys, alongside helping them achieve prestigious scholarships at schools like Eton. Oliver has well over 5,000 hours of tutoring experience. His teaching style is patient and encouraging, he makes learning fun and creates dynamic resources which contextualise learning within topics that his students require for exams.

Our Cancellation Policy

If you cancel less than two weeks ahead of the start date of the course, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or another student.

If you cancel outside of the two week course date, we will happily credit your account to attend a future course.

If you do not show up for a course, you are not eligible for a credit or refund.

Why we charge a cancellation fee

This is to cover the tutors’ reserved time to run a group course, to pay for their time spent pre-planning the class and relevant material, printing fees incurred and the loss of revenue to Winterwood as it is often too late to fill a cancelled space. More importantly, other students miss out on attending a group.
