Course Introduction

This single day focus group is designed to specifically prepare students for stage one of the Westminster Under 7+ assessment.

Course Schedule

The group will focus on the specific format of this assessment, which differs from other 7+ assessments. It will teach students questions in the format of each of the three sections:

English comprehension & grammar
Maths problem solving and arithmetic
Non-verbal and verbal reasoning.

The course will conclude with a Westminster Under format assessment, for which full feedback will be provided.

Group Leads

Dr Tom Parkinson

The group will be led by Winterwood’s co-founder, Dr Tom Parkinson. Tom oversees the entrance exam cohort at Winterwood, and has fifteen years’ experience of the entrance exam system. Tom will provide detailed advice, guidance and focus topics following the course, and will also be on hand to discuss any aspect of the process, or school admissions, with parents.

Our Cancellation Policy

If you cancel less than two weeks ahead of the start date of the course, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or another student.

If you cancel outside of the two week course date, we will happily credit your account to attend a future course.

If you do not show up for a course, you are not eligible for a credit or refund.

Why we charge a cancellation fee

This is to cover the tutors’ reserved time to run a group course, to pay for their time spent pre-planning the class and relevant material, printing fees incurred and the loss of revenue to Winterwood as it is often too late to fill a cancelled space. More importantly, other students miss out on attending a group.
