Course Introduction

This lively and engaging group is designed to prepare Year 5 students for the verbal and non-verbal reasoning portions of 11+ entrance exams, including the ISEB Pretest, Consortium Pretest, and other similar assessments.

Course Schedule

The course will cover all common question types in verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning in a collaborative and fun setting. Jacob will teach students how to navigate these questions, recognise patterns, and select the most effective techniques or responses. Each week, students will learn new rules and approaches while being introduced to the level and expectations of entrance exam material.

As this group is likely to be well-attended, please confirm your attendance early to secure a place.

Jacob Shephard

Jacob is a tutor and full-time Education and Exams Consultant who works exclusively with Winterwood. He has been tutoring in London for over a decade, specialising in entrance exams, and he has an exemplary track record. Jacob has a reputation for being friendly but firm with students and open and transparent with parents.

Our Cancellation Policy

If you cancel less than one week ahead of the exam, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or another student.

If you cancel outside of the one week exam date, we will happily credit your account to attend a future mock.

If you do not show up for a mock, you are not eligible for a credit or refund.

Why we charge a cancellation fee

This is to cover the tutors’ reserved time to run a mock exam, to pay for their time spent pre-planning the exam and relevant material, printing fees incurred and the loss of revenue to Winterwood as it is often too late to fill a cancelled space. More importantly, other students miss out on attending an exam.
